that's what I'm doing these days... April-present

So I thought I'd do a brief sum of a few things I've done since April....  starting with an awesome visit to Grandma and Grandpa Inman!!!  Nick and I road tripped it out there, garage saled, celebrated her 80th!!!  birthday, and just had some great food and visits.

Then in June I ran a relay with 6 of my co-workers and Curtis filled in also.  To Bone and Back was the name and we all ran 5 miles as a relay to total 40.  It was super super hot by my 7th leg and mine was mostly downhill.  Felt gooooood
While in WA, I bought some gold clubs at a garage sale so Curtis taught me to golf and we've gone in the mornings several times.  I'm practically a pro now. Kind of.
I guess Curtis is mentioned enough to know he's who've I done just about everything with this summer.  I'm doing some new outdoor adventures and it's been interesting and scary at times but also loads of fun. He's letting Sydney do his hair so pretty.  And fly fishing below.  I wish I had some waders...

Oh yeah this was the tragic biking incident where Katie and loaded up our bikes to go bike this beautiful warm river trail only to have them fall off on the way home.  Soooo sad.  I sold the remains...
Ashley Chemene Shelton Griffiths was my roommate in college.  Love her to death but haven't seen her lately since she lives in St George.  But her adorable daughter Callaway cozied right up to me.  We got to go to dinner since when was in town.

I made this quilt last year.  I love love love it.  Who knew I could be so talented? and not a bazillion colors?

Camping and fishing at Henry's lake.  Ok. so I just sit on the rock and take pictures... sometimes
Couple of sure-shots.... eh?
Lacey Gilbert got married!!!!   She was beautiful and I miss her.  Mary came to visit and stayed with me a night also.
And we got to see Mauri and her beautiful family. (all roommates from my freshman year of college!!!)
Just this past weekend.  We did a crazy day full of outdoors.  The first half involved hiking up a mountain and putting up a treestand.  The second half we mountain biked the lower palisades trail.  Not really meant for mountain bikes.  So we walked and pushed the bikes a lot but it was beautiful.  and fun.  and sweaty!!!  and thanks again Chris for the water! saved our lives

March

I hung out with Braden, Caleb, and Rhya while the rest of the Balmforths went to Utah the other week.  What a treat to go to Micks!
Then 2 weeks ago my bff Jessica came to Rexburg!  Her brother and friend came also- but this is a rare occasion!  So we went to Big Juds...  Noticing a burger trend?
Oh my, another eating.  I promise I'm still trying to eat healthy.  But these Shamrock cookies A made me were so delish I had to snap a pic right then and there
Last weekend I went to Utah and had a busy fun-filled couple of days jamming in all sorts of goodness.  This is breakfast- don't be confused by the chocolate frosted "muffin"  Happy Bday to Nick!

Then I met up with Jess and her friends and there was not much room for us after all the shopping fun we had
Real Salt Lake soccer anyone?  My first experience with crazy soccer fans- Jess being one of them.  Was a great time
Yesterday towards the end of conference I went shooting with my friend Curtis.  This is us listening intently to the last speaker.   (haha, earplugs, get it?)  i don't know I thought it was funny.  Plugging out ears to the spoken word.  But really we had it blasted so we could still hear it  :)
Dang I look gooooood....  I even hit some clay pigeons miraculously enough.  Not all of them though.

29 years / 29 tasks

Since I was dreading turning 29 because it's soooo old!!!, I had to somehow make it fun.  So my friend Jessica and I came up with doing 29 things on my 29th birthday to keep myself happy and entertained!  It was so fun and made me feel like I was pampering myself.
Now I will list them for you.  Don't judge.  But it was random and fun.  :D
1. Give at least 3 hugs (at least)
2. tell my patients it's my birthday
3. buy a personal hygiene item I've needed for a long time
4. ask some close friends what their goal for me this year is
5. wear heels
6. go on a drive
7. take a moment to enjoy everything awesome about myself
8. give a kiss
9. get free icecream
10. prance/skip
11. buy a single balloon
12. go someplace that is fun to me
13. annoyingly call someone
14. take random pictures of myself
15. curl my hair
16. blow out candles on a cake
17. give a backrub
18. say get outta my birthday way
19. watch a bit of psych
20. give a cool handshake
21. buy something I want for fun
22. wear cupcake earrings
23. pig out and not care
24. buy someone something
25. paint nails
26. buy a birthday shirt
27. wash my car
28. blast out to some sweet tunes
29. call someone I haven't talked to in a long time in a helium voice

The day started with having my hair curly for work, which I actually did with a headband over night.
Then at work Emily brought me some delightful key lime cupcakes to share with everyone, and my patient I was working on while she brought them actually took one to eat later (not cleaning frosting out of his teeth while he's there!!)    And like an hour later A surprised me by bringing me this psych cake!!!  She posted better pics on facebook and stuff, but it was SOOO AWESOME!!  oooh make a wish- what?!  So so lucky to have a talented thoughtful sister who encourages my crazy love for my favorite tv show and my sweet tooth!  Best cake ever!!!
Then I actually got off work early cause the drs had meetings, so I went to lunch with A and Oliver at Papa Kelseys.  kept it light to save up for dinner...
I was supposed to be taking random pictures of myself so we couldn't resist this giant mario
and my free baskin robbins scoop.  Don't worry I'm still skinny cause it's yogurt.
I had to buy a single balloon for myself.  and it was joyous.
Shopping at winco for all the produce essentials.  kids in the next aisle were giving me crazy looks.
And then home to a decorated apartment by katie!  So fun to walk into

And then dinner with some friends at PPC.  aka pizza pie cafe.  I tried really hard not to pig out, but I had to cause it was on the list...  (and that's my new birthday shirt)
This is Hagen, Bryan Lyons, Jacquel, Jake, me and Jan
And Dave, Wendy, me, (I moved around ;) )  Jake, Jessica,Janae, Jared, and Hagen.  Not pictured was Katie, Celeste, and Julie
And then afterwards home to share the cake with all who would come.  ooooh- I made a wish!  what?!   And there was a happy surprise of birthday cake flavored oreos in the middle!!  What a beauty and tasty!
Great birthday!  I was happy!  and the bazillion happy birthdays on facebook was also quite entertaining...  !  good times.

Wizarding World of Harry Potter! among other things

For those of you who are unaware, in Universal Studios Islands of Adventure in Orlando, FL, they have the wizarding world of Harry Potter.  It feels like you're in the movie!  Like a dream...

Hogwarts Castle...with the coolest ride ever inside

 Some classic scenery
Ollivander chooses a wand for someone special...
They have 2 stores:  Honeydukes and

the joke shop- whatever that is called.

Hagrid's Hut.  You could hear Fang barking

BUTTERBEER!!!  so delish.  It fulfills your wildest dreams

Epcot.  Brynne made us do the 'classic tourest pose'
 I improvised
In Norway, there was a creepy troll ride that was quite strange. But loveable
And here is the beginning of the African Safari ride at the Animal Kingdom

Where a giraffe is kind enough to get that thing in my hair
Elephants so close up.  It really was a cool ride.  We saw a lot of animals that I've never ever seen
Bug's life ride.  3d. They always without fail spit some kind of water on you
 And the bug's life tree
We stole away for an afternoon to hit up Cocoa Beach.  Love

These are definitely only a few of the highlights.  I have hundreds of pictures if you wanna come over I'll be happy to show you.  Super fun get away with Jessica Olmos and so good to see Brynne Morley.  She's my friend from here in Rexburg but moved there a couple months ago so I wanted to go visite. And she let us in to Disney for free!  So nice and such a great tour guide/ hostess.
